Warning: Apple Watch Users
|
| If you add carbs using your watch and then delete those carbs from your iPhone before your watch and phone carbs are "in sync", those carbs will reappear.
If you use an Apple watch with Loop or FreeAPS - be aware of these issues:
- Carb Entry on Watch that is promptly deleted on the iPhone may reappear ("prompt" means < 5 minutes)
- Bolus Screen may not appear on Watch following Carb Entry.
We are still investigating this - it may be limited to just Watch OS 8 - but need you to be aware of it.
Steps to trigger the Issue:
- Enter Carbs on watch; haptic indicates it was accepted but Bolus screen does NOT open
- View status on phone - you will see Carbs were actually entered
- The COB reported on watch increases by double what was just entered
- Once a cycle has completed, the COB on watch is corrected and the carbs on both phone and watch are in sync.
If you want to help - especially if you are running an earlier version of watch OS or different versions than already posted in the issue report on github, please add a comment to the github issue link below (requires a github account login).
Please do not start a fresh post with your results because that will make it more difficult to track. If you do comment or post on GitHub, please include your Loop or FreeAPS version, phone iOS, watch Series and watchOS.

Loop Follow
|
|
If you're a Sugarmate user, you know that Sugarmate is no longer able to connect directly to Dexcom. Many Sugarmate users are now accessing their blood glucose data by using Nightscout as their data source in Sugarmate. For more details about what's happening with Sugarmate, click on the Sugarmate links below. Loop Follow (developed by Jon Fawcett) is another option for parents and other caregivers to consider. Using Loop Follow, you can connect directly to Dexcom without Nightscout. To make it easier for people to build, Loop Follow is now available on Test Flight. For more details, click on the Loop Follow Beta Testing link below.
Want to get the most out of your Loop Follow app? Jon Fawcett (Custom Type One) has just released a video series designed to help us all become power users of the Loop Follow app.
