Seeing Double?
| |
If you're seeing double-ended trend arrows in Nightscout, you're not alone. On December 1, Dexcom made a change to its non-US servers that triggered these double-ended trend arrows. At this point, the US servers have also been impacted. These arrows are annoying, but are primarily a display issue. What should you do?
- Update your Nightscout site to 14.2.5. Read about the changes included in Nightscout 14.2.5 and update your site by clicking on the links below.
- Delete "bridge" from your Heroku ENABLE config var, and select Upload Readings from within Loop/Settings/CGM.
To make updating Nightscout even easier, you can Enable Automatic Deploys in Heroku. Automatic Deploys will allow you to update your Heroku apps automatically when you update your GitHub repository- you will not need to login into Heroku and perform a Manual Deploy. For more details, click on the Automatic Deploys link below.

Sugarmate Update
As of December 9, Sugarmate is again available to US users of Dexcom share. There are two options for your Sugarmate CGM source,
- Dexcom or
- Nightscout. If you select Nightscout, you must Upload Readings directly from Loop. You cannot use the Nightscout bridge. Delete "bridge" from your Heroku ENABLE config var, and select Upload Readings from within Loop/Settings/CGM.
Follow the instructions in the Reconnecting link below.
If you're located outside of the US, Nightscout can be used as a CGM source for Sugarmate, but only for already installed apps since Sugarmate is not currently available in the App Store. There is no timeline for when Sugarmate users outside of the US will also be able to connect directly from Dexcom to Sugarmate, or will need to remove "bridge" from their ENABLE config vars.

Warning: Apple Watch Users
|
| If you add carbs using your watch and then delete those carbs from your iPhone before your watch and phone carbs are "in sync", those carbs will reappear.
Some users report that the Bolus Screen does not open automatically following Carb Entry from watch. This may be just for watchOS 8. Do not try to enter carbs again just because the bolus screen did not appear.
